A Day in the Life at Rambo Family Farm
People often ask what it’s really like living and working on a farm. The truth is — no two days are the same. But they all start early, end late, and are filled with small moments that remind us why we chose this life.

Morning Comes Early
Before the sun crests the trees, we’re already moving. Coffee in hand, we head out to check the animals. The cows are usually waiting at the fence, ready for fresh pasture. The sheep and goats greet us with soft bleats, eager for their breakfast. Every morning begins with feeding, checking water, and making sure everyone is healthy and content.
Work That Changes with the Seasons
Spring means new life — calves, lambs, chicks. Summer brings haymaking and long days in the sun. Fall is harvest time and winter slows things down just enough for us to catch our breath and plan for next year. Each season brings its own rhythm, and we adjust right along with it.
Family at the Heart of It All
This farm is truly a family affair. Joe handles most of the heavy lifting — fencing, hay, and machinery — while I, Zina, tend to the gardens, animals, and farm store. Our kids pitch in when they can, learning responsibility and the value of honest work. It’s not always easy, but it’s deeply rewarding.
At the end of the day, when the chores are done and the pastures quiet, we feel a sense of peace that only comes from caring for the land and living close to it. This isn’t just our livelihood — it’s our legacy.
